NOTE: This is the newer type open end tube which was put in service with new kilns starting in September 2020.Type-K 8 Gauge Thermocouple (Exposed) with Ceramic Terminal Block - Ceramic tube is 4" Long x 1/2" Diameter. The old, closed-ended protection tubes have been discontinued and are no longer available IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have the old closed-end tubes and you are changing one tube you need to change all of them to the new, open ended type. You MUST ALSO change the thermocouple offset to 0 for all zones. (see your kiln's manual for instructions on how to do this)

The Sentinel or Genesis-Mini touch screen controllers are now standard on all new Paragon digital kilns. Ramp-Hold programs can have a customized program title, which is entered through a touch screen. Store 12 custom programs with up to 32 segments per program. The Sentinel includes Novice Mode, which adds questions to guide you during programming. The controller can be updated through WiFi. View the progress of a firing in graph mode. The firing schedule can be edited during firing with Skip Step, Add Segments, Add Temperature, and Add Time. The Sentinel can turn a kiln vent or gas injection flow meter on or off for each segment of a program.
