StudioPro Tempered Hardboard Bats are the workhorses of the pottery studio.
They are our most affordable bats, yet made from the finest quality tempered hardboard available. Unlike it's Masonite predecessor, our tempered hardboard has no added formaldehyde.
StudioProTempered Hardboard Bats are slightly absorbent for good clay adhesion and bottom drying. They are compact and easy to store and will last many years if cared for properly. Hardboard bats are a great choice for the professional or hobbyist potter who uses many bats and has a controlled studio setting.

Cone 6: Tea Dust is formulated to produce a rust, semi-gloss glaze mottled with golden flecks. Lighter coats will produce a semi-transparent rust color with little to non-visible gold flecks. Use three plus coats to produce a more prominent mottled effect with the glaze breaking over texture.
Cone 10: Color darkens.
Cone 06 oxidation (first photo): Lavender Sprigs is a semi-translucent, light gray base glaze with a variety or purple/brown crystals that melt.
Cone 6 oxidation (second photo): Base glaze lightens – crystals change to brown and melt into base glaze. Enhanced mobility. Surface issues may occur.

One custom silkscreened underglaze rice paper transfer sheet for use on greenware or bisque pottery. These extra large sheets come with a usable area of 19" long x 13" wide compared to the more common 8.5" X 6.5" sheet, making them excellent for larger plates and cutting into strips to wrap all the way around a few mugs. They can can be fired to any temperature and work well in gas, wood, or electric firings. I typically fire to cone 6 with a zinc free clear glaze on top. I have also fired them to cone 11 in a reduction kiln with great success. For specific design and color please see photo and listing title. Autumn: Cone 06: A transparent clear glaze with colorful orange, yellow and brown specks that will change the look with different base glazes. Cone 6: Color Specks fade and begin to flow. TIP: Chips shown over SC-41 Brown Cow and unglazed bisque.
Cone 6: Purple Mint is a gloss glaze that produces greens and purples, reacting strongly to surface textures. On flat, smooth surfaces lighter coats will find greens breaking through a light layer of purple. As more coats are added purple will dominate the fired finish. On textured surfaces green will almost always appear on and around incised and raised areas. Cone 10: Color changes to a variegated blue. TIP: The thinner the application the more green the glaze will appear. The thicker the application the more purple the glaze will be.
