Cone 06 oxidation (first photo): A black shattered pattern of raised, irregular chips will emerge. The underlying glaze will appear in the cracks.
Cone 6 oxidation (second photo): Glaze will bead up on the surface of the piece. If applied over another glaze the texture flattens with similar cobblestone pattern.
Cone 06 oxidation (third photo): A white shattered pattern of raised, irregular chips will emerge. The underlying glaze will appear in the cracks.
Cone 6 oxidation (fourth photo): Glaze will bead up on the surface of the piece. If applied over another glaze the texture flattens with similar cobblestone pattern.
Cone 06 oxidation (second photo): PC-601 Clear Cascade produces a more flowing effect and allows the color of the base glaze to show through. It can also alter your original color, creating a new color. It will form runs or you can direct the runs when you apply the product.
Cone 6 oxidation (third photo): Transparent with Crazing. Color clear with a slight tint of light blue.
Cone 06 oxidation (forth photo): PC-602 White Cascade intermingles with the other glazes being used, introducing pure white to the colors you are using, blending with the color.
Cone 6 oxidation (fifth photo): Transparent. Color clear with white float.
TIP: Chip shown over EL-118 Blue Grotto. PC-602 White Cascade has a minimum movement and will stay in the pattern that you apply it in.
Autumn: Cone 06: A transparent clear glaze with colorful orange, yellow and brown specks that will change the look with different base glazes. Cone 6: Color Specks fade and begin to flow. TIP: Chips shown over SC-41 Brown Cow and unglazed bisque.
Cone 06 oxidation (second photo): White Opal is a white matte underglaze base with small white crystals that fire glossy.
Cone 6 oxidation (third photo)
Cone 06 oxidation (fourth photo): Golden Sand is an off-white matte underglaze base with tiny tan crystals that fire glossy.
Cone 6 oxidation (fifth photo)
Cone 06 oxidation (sixth photo): Black Diamond is a black matte underglaze base with small black crystals that fire glossy.
Cone 6 oxidation (seventh photo)
Cone 06 oxidation (second photo): Creates a transparent cracked surface and allows underlying designs to show through.
Cone 6 oxidation (third photo): More defined crackle pattern – does not take ink/stain.
Cone 06 (fourth image): Creates a white cracked surface and allows underlying designs to show through.
Cone 6 (fifth image): Finer crackles – does not take ink/stain. Added pink variation. Increased mobility.
Cone 06 (sixth image): Creates a green cracked surface and allows underlying designs to show through.
Cone 6 (seventh image): Color lightens. More defined crackle pattern – does not take ink/stain. Increased mobility.
Cone 06 (eighth image): Creates a teal cracked surface and allows underlying designs to show through.
Cone 6 (ninth image): Color lightens. More defined crackle pattern – does not take ink/stain. Increased mobility.
TIP: After firing, wipe an acrylic or ink over the ware and wipe off, allowing the ink to fill and highlight the cracks.”
