MONSTERA MANIA: Check Out This Laguna Glaze!

Hi folks!

I have to inform all of you that I am obsessed with Laguna's Monstera glaze. I have been working through a bag of Aardvark's Charcoal clay and as some of us know, darker clay bodies can be tricky when it comes to glazing. However, look no further than this beautiful, green glaze.

Using two different sizes of hump molds, I made these slab-built bowls. I left the outside unglazed to show how gorgeous of a black Charcoal fires to. Three layers of Monstera was applied on the inside and after the glaze firing process, a stunning array of variegated greens formed. It truly does look similar to an actual monstera leaf and as a plant lover, I am enamored by that mottled-like visual effect.

With all of this being said, I must admit that I am extremely biased because green is one of my favorite colors (in all honestly, I love every color). If you want to add some of nature's touch to each brush stroke, Laguna's Monstera is a fabulous glaze option that I find myself recommending to all of our customers.
