Chalk Rock is a smooth, white low-fire, non-talc body widely used in schools as well as artists working in low-fire ceramics. It has been tested and fires beautifully with AMACO, Spectrum & Mayco low fire glazes

It can be very expensive to ship just a couple of boxes of clay. UPS and FedEx charge a LOT for a 50# box of clay. It's almost always more than the cost of the clay, and can be more $50 per box. The cost per pound of clay goes down when you ship 500# or more via a freight company. If you can order with a friend or several friends (or art teacher where schools are concerned) you can both save quite a bit of money.
